Which car is safer?
Every car lover wants the car to go for a long time, a lot and did not break. But then the question arises: how will the car drive on our roads? About which car is more reliable, our article will tell.
Most people know that Japanese cars are reliable. They also know that German cars are not inferior to them. But what about car brands such as Chevrolet, Skoda, Renault? That Chevrolet in 2011 won the title of the most reliable car brand, beating competitors from Germany and Japan. The same company produces both reliable models and very mediocre ones.
According to the results of a study conducted by German experts, the first place in the list of breakdowns is occupied by electrical breakdowns of the car. It:
- defective generators and batteries;
- fuses that burned out;
- contacts that have moved, etc.
But it should be noted that our car owner very often eliminates such faults himself.
The second place is occupied by problems that interfere with the launch of the motor. For example:
- broke anti-theft device;
- candles splattered;
- the oil pump has failed;
- insufficient amount of oil;
- motor overheating.
The third and fourth places are problems of fuel supply and cooling systems, as well as clutches and gearboxes.
Fifth place - it is a breakdown associated with poor-quality fuel and chassis.
First in class
In the class of small cars, owners of Renault Twingo and Clio and Fiat Cinquecento and Punto often turn to employees of the service station. But the Toyota Starlet is considered the most reliable compact car in the last year. The second place in terms of reliability is Volkswagen Polo, and the third place is Mitsubishi Colt.
The worst cars of the middle class (engine capacity up to 1.6 liters) are Fiat Marea, Brava and Bravo. After all, these cars are often stuck on the road due to power problems, broken gear belts or burned cylinder head gaskets. Peugeot 306 and Ford Escort have proven themselves much better.
Three prizes in the middle class are Japanese. The first is the Nissan Almera, the second is the Honda Civic, the third is the Toyota Corolla. Fourth place - Mazda 323. Fifth, sixth and seventh places are occupied by Volkswagen, Opel and Seat, respectively.
As for domestically produced cars, they have an undoubted advantage that spare parts for them can be bought anywhere and repairs will be relatively inexpensive.As for the safety of passengers and the terms of trouble-free operation - they are still very far to foreign manufacturers.
No one will tell you which car is the most reliable, but when buying a car, it will be useful to find out where you can buy spare parts for it, and where the service station is located, whose specialists will be able to repair your car in case of a breakdown.
Of course, it is much cheaper to buy a used "like this" car, but, for example, if you can put a part from another car on an American car, then this will not work with a Japanese car. In addition, by purchasing a Japanese car, you will need the details from your model, since progress does not stand in one place, and different technologies are applied on different series of identical cars. Therefore, the details are often incompatible.
And so, if you want a beautiful and new car, or, on the contrary, an inexpensive used car, then learn more about the brand of the car you buy. This way you will save yourself a lot of money, strength and, perhaps, your life.
Now you know which car is safer and you will not make a mistake in choosing!
