Two Different People Lost Their Wedding Rings While Handing Out Halloween Candy
If you live in Boston or Arizona, check your kid's Halloween candy stash. That's because two people, on opposite sides of the country, accidentally got their wedding rings mixed up with trick-or-treaters' sweets.
In Mesa, AZ, Brooklin Yazzie has put up posters around her neighborhood seeking the return of her wedding ring. She told KNXV-TV she had taken the ring off so she could carve pumpkins, and placed it in a jar. Then, when she was rushing out the door to her in-laws' house, she mindlessly dumped the jar's contents into a candy bag, and the ring went with it. "I actually had plastic rings in there too, so it wouldn't have felt much different," she said. She notes that the ring isn't worth much financially (only about ), but the sentimental value is priceless.
And in Boston, Robert Rand says his platinum and diamond ring slipped off in a bag of sweets while he handed out candy to trick-or-treaters Friday night.
