Utility jackets, cargo pants, and camo prints were once reserved for, well, army reserve members, other military figures, and discerning Army-navy shoppers, but—during the last few years—they’ve started to infiltrate fashion in a big way.
For Spring 2015, several of today’s most important labels—Chanel and Marc Jacobs, for example—have interpreted classic military pieces to make them appear just feminine enough, while more accessible brands like J. Crew showcased boxy cropped army jackets with pastel pants and strappy sandals.
