Peter Scott Menswear: AW14 Collection
Luxury Scottish Knitwear Brand Repositions For AW14
Scottish heritage brand Peter Scott, which famously invented un-shrinkable knitwear, is celebrating 135 years in business by unveiling a new contemporary identity.
The luxury firm’s AW14 collection features cable, plain and intarsia knit styles in wool, merino and cashmere as well as cashmere and merino blends for the very first time.
The repositioning sees also heritage designs sit alongside those intended to fit a modern lifestyle.
Designers at the label claim to have taken inspiration from the Roxburghshire countryside that surrounds the Peter Scott factory to incorporate new colour ways such as granite, red grouse, black grape and cinnamon.
A statement from the brand said:“Our Autumn/Winter 2014 Collections offers intuitive style, luxury, attention to detail and authenticity combined with exquisite fabrics to enhance the experience of wearing and owning Peter Scott.”
Peter Scott was founded in 1878 and continues to use the same 24-stage manufacturing process at its Hawick factory on the Scottish borders.
Despite expanding in 2009 to launch a complete menswear line, the business fell into administration in 2010 before being bought by duffle coat specialist Gloverall.
Today the brand is available and via select UK retailers. Prices for the AW14 collection range between £77 – £337.
