How to cook pork gravy?

Pork gravy is a sufficiently simple dish to prepare. It will have the way, not only for a family dinner, but also for the holiday table. How to cook pork gravy, will be discussed below.

Classic pork gravy

To prepare the gravy from the meat according to the classic recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 500 g pork;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 onion;
  • 20 g of flour;
  • 500 ml of water;
  • 10 ml of tomato paste;
  • 20 ml of vegetable oil;
  • 3 bay leaves;
  • Greens, salt, pepper - to taste.

Pork rinse under running water, dry and cut into strips. Put in the pan and fry well in vegetable oil. Then rinse the vegetables and peel. Grate the carrots and chop the onion into half rings.

Put the vegetables in a pan with meat and lightly fry. Then add tomato paste to the ingredients. Allow 5 minutes later. Pour in flour and stir, then pour in boiling water, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring the dish from time to time.

5 minutes before readiness, place spices in the sauce. Turn off the heat and let the dish stand for a while. As a side dish, you can serve rice, buckwheat, mashed potatoes and even pasta.

Pork gravy with sour cream

There are many recipes for cooking gravy, but the hostess especially praises the dish with sour cream. You will need the following products for it:

  • 400 g pork;
  • 1 onion;
  • 20 g of flour;
  • 200 ml of sour cream;
  • 150 ml of water;
  • 20 ml of vegetable oil;
  • dry spices (black pepper, bay leaf, cloves, nutmeg);
  • fresh greens;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • salt.

Cut the meat into fine straws and chop the onions, which must be browned in vegetable oil to transparency. Then add the pork and simmer until the color changes. Pour water into the pan, and when it boils, add flour to the meat and mix thoroughly. Season with spices and salt a little. Sour cream, add when the meat is fully prepared. Stir all ingredients and heat gently over low heat.

When watering has cooled slightly, season it with crushed garlic. Decorate the dish before serving chopped greens.

If you like experiments, then you can add a teaspoon of sugar to the gravy along with the spices.
