Battery replacement plus possible modding
Recently, I got an interesting Chinese tablet in my hands. According to the owner, the tablet after switching on works for a maximum of 5 seconds and turns off. It was decided to disassemble the tablet and see what is the cause of the malfunction. This is the tablet itself.Standard set: 1.2 GHz processor , operational 512 MB, on board Android version 4.0., 7 inch screen. Also surprised the presence of a full-fledged USB host port. In general, the tablet is assembled with sufficient quality. So, let's start the autopsy. From the side of all the connectors and inputs there are two bolts. They must be unscrewed.Next, along the case perimeter, you need to unfasten the latches. I did it with a sharp knife. But be careful. As it turned out, there are literally a few millimeters from the clips passing loops, do not cut them.[/L_REPEAT]
And here's what was inside. Were tested all cables, connectors, etc. Then the charging controller rang. He proved to be sound. As for the battery, it was easy to push it with your finger. It seems that in a plastic bag liquid poured. After desoldering and laboriously removing the battery, that's what happened. There was more than enough space for a new battery.Googling a bit, I came across a suitable battery. Both in size and in size. What can I say, the battery fits perfectly, as if the place was under it and was sharpened. Instead of the previous 1800, we had 3600 milliamps per hour. Profit x2! This is how the device looks like with a new battery.Since the tablet was already disassembled, then there were thoughts to tweak something else. And a great idea came to mind. The tablet has a front camera for video calls, but it can just take a photo. Here is a camera. Inside view. The camera is connected with a flexible loop. By gently bending it, you can turn the camera in the opposite direction, i.e. push. From the front camera, it turns into a regular rear camera. However, for this you need to drill a hole in the back cover. But since The tablet is not mine, I do not have the right to spoil the appearance. The contact pads and the cutout in the textolyte were also found. Most likely, just for the rear camera. In more expensive models, it is probably present. Putting the tablet back. Snap latches. Twist the screws. And check. Voila! The tablet works! In active use mode, it lasted 4 hours.
